This is a membership based non-profit club and membership fee's are $10/month. This helps cover the cost of monthly boat storage at Rick's, Insurance, maintenance on the Dragon Boat and the Stand Up Paddle board Fleet.
We participate in 10 Dragon Boat races and 10 SUP races yearly. The team was founded in 2014 to really bring "community". The team was created to change that, to create a culture where community was just as important, the power of great members and the ability to inspire change for the better in our community. I'm very proud to say that within our years together we've proven that time and time again. Invictus has been able to accomplish great things and continues to inspire others. The team is lead by Jim Ellis, with 15+ of dragon boat experience and member of the US National Dragon Boat Team.
The team is also partnered with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful (KeepTampaBayBeautiful.org). We participate in a several different events with KTBB yearly, we are members of their Ambassadors Program. Invictus is also the 1st Team/Organization in Tampa to adopt a part of the Hillsborough River Shoreline for quarterly clean ups. The shoreline clean ups consist of picking up litter on foot from the North Bridge to Columbus Bridge, along with a fleet of water crafts to collect bottles/debris floating in the River. Invictus has been awarded the Service Project award in 2015 and the Champion of the Forest award in 2016 for our work in preserving the Hillsborough River, this is the highest honor presented by Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful.
Along with our environmental projects, we also are involved in the following community events yearly:

Invictus Community Partners:
Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful
KTBB's mission is to promote a culture of environmental stewardship through volunteer and educational opportunities.
Since 1989, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful has provided bay-area residents of all ages with opportunities for meaningful service. Tampa Bay Beautification (founded in 1989) and Keep Hillsborough County Beautiful (founded in 1992) merged in 2012 to form Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful. Building on the success of these two non-profits, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful continues to have a huge impact in our community. Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is the local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s largest volunteer-based community. Our focus areas are conservation, waste reduction and beautification. We believe change and improvement begins with personal responsibility. We are very proud of the efforts of our volunteers who have given their time and energy to support our mission.
Invictus Paddling Club now has 2 adopted portions of the Hillsborough River conducting quarterly clean ups and is involved in the KTBB Ambassadors Program.
